Gene Krupa

Eugene Bertram Krupa (January 15, 1909 – October 16, 1973) was an American jazz and big band drummer/composer born in Chicago, Illinois. Krupa was well known for his flamboyant drumming style.
Many consider Krupa to be one of the most influential drummers of the 20th century, particularly regarding the development of the drum kit. Many jazz historians believe he made history in 1927 as the first kit drummer ever to record using a bass drum pedal. His drum method was published in 1938 and immediately became the standard text. He is also credited with inventing the rim shot on the snare drum.

Florence Foster Jenkins ( Narcissa Florence Foster) added to "worst Acts list

A "must add" to the list, and definitely the one to beat for number 1 - Florence Foster Jenkins was an American amateur operatic soprano who was known, and ridiculed, for her lack of rhythm, pitch, tone, and overall singing ability. Definitely lacking in all but tenacity, and surely a lack of pride. For your listening enjoyment. (Thanks to James R. for this Gem)

Guitar Intonation

Guitar intonation refers for the fact that each string on a guitar needs to be a slightly different length for the notes to sound at the proper pitch when the strings are depressed/deflected at each fret. If your guitar sounds in tune when the open strings are plucked but drifts out of tune as you travel up the fretboard, then poor intonation is the problem.

Requiem For The Songs

Music, once the very core of tribal communion, has gone through an evolution that in many respects mirrors the changing face of our social consciousness. Maturing from the simple pattern of drum beats to the multi-tracked orchestration of sounds, (harmonious and disharmonious alike), that form the loosely translated perception of modern music.
